Pilgrim Hats: just for fun.
Stuffing ministry stuff

(Stephanie will hold the ropes at home)
Tonight we had our last meeting before our trip on Thursday. David called it "Pack and Pray." Actually it was Pizza, Pack, Pray, and Puppets with lots of conversation in between.
Trudi had the Millsaps garage set up like an assembly line. Tables were arranged in an 'L' shape with things we needed to take along for ministry projects neatly stacked in order. At the beginning were witnessing dolls, then sidewalk chalk, bubble wands, a big box of eyeglasses prepacked in bags by prescription. Around the corner on the second table were witnessing frisbees, and quilts, then on the floor flipflops and speedway shirts. Each of us took a suitcase full of stuff to pack with our personals. These things will be given out or used during VBS or time interacting with and witnessing to people at clinics.
After packing and fun conversation we gathered back inside the house to pray. David asked us to divide up into three groups. One group prayed for our travel, another for the people we would meet and minister to, and the third group prayed specifically for the Friday and Saturday activities involved in the Pastors' conference.
The Pastors' Conference is a new aspect of our ministry and many uncertainties surround those two days. None of us is sure how the conference will work. Not even Pastor Pablo; of one thing we are sure -- that the Lord wants us to minister to His ministering families in Arequipa. We go with lots of ideas, and plans, but we hold those with a loose grip. We know that they will certainly change as the Lord paints them into His canvas to create the picture of ministry He has planned. Pray for us that we will work with sensitivity to His will and eyes to see and ears to hear His glory.
